Are we close to a cure?

NTSAD is dedicated to finding a cure for Tay-Sachs, Sandhoff, Canavan, GM-1 and all the related diseases. Founded over 50 years ago, NTSAD has been at the forefront of advancing and supporting breakthrough research through the NTSAD Research Initiative and collaborative programs.

This is a very exciting time in Tay-Sachs and related diseases research. The Tay-Sachs Gene Therapy Consortium program has already shown excellent results in animal models and is driving toward initiating human clinical trials.
