Leading the worldwide fight to treat and cure
Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1 and Sandhoff diseases

Handwerker-Heringer Fund for Research

With its roots as an elementary school community service project in 2005, the Handwerker-Heringer families have continued their mission to support cutting-edge research to help wipe out rare genetic diseases.

The many student fundraising projects and continued generosity of friends and family over the years have helped to make a real difference in the quest for treatment and cure of these devastating diseases.

The Handwerker-Heringer Fund for Research is a restricted fund within NTSAD which currently supports the Tay-Sachs Gene Therapy Consortium and the Jacob Sheep Research Project.
