Helping Hand Program

altThe Helping Hand Program provides scholarships to families in need to attend the Annual Family Conference. Our goal is to help as many families as possible. Please only request what is needed to make the trip possible so we can help the most families as possible.

Grant funds are only available for expenses associated with the conference – they may not be used for Disney passes or additional nights at the hotel. Recipients are asked to fully participate in conference sessions.

There are two ways to receive a Helping Hand Grant:

1. Receive ONE FREE conference registration by selling $570 worth of raffle tickets by April 21, 2012. The cash value of one free registration is $285; the other half of the $570 goes into the general Helping Hand Grant Fund to assist with other conference expenses, such as hotel and travel. Only $10 for 6 chances to win $1,000, $500 or $250!

2. Request a Helping Hand Grant application by contacting Kim at 800-906-8723 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . All applications will be treated with strictest confidence. Application deadlines are November 15th & January 15th but applications will be considered through March as long as funds are available.

ALL families are eligible to receive a Helping Hand Grants based on the availability of funds and the following priorities:

  • Newly diagnosed families and individuals that have joined NTSAD since the last Conference;
  • Families and individuals who lost their affected loved one within the past year;
  • Families and individuals who have not previously attended an annual conference;
  • Families and individual who actively raised funds for the Helping Hand Grant Program;
  • Families and individuals who are actively engaged as NTSAD volunteers throughout the year.
