Ways to Help…

Volunteer! NTSAD has many projects and programs that need your help today!

Mentors welcome newly diagnosed families and individuals. Grandparents, parents, affected adults and extended family mentors of Tay-Sachs, Sandhoff, GM-1, Canavan and all the allied diseases are needed!

Website updates and development needs your help! Current projects include ‘translating' scientific papers into understandable terms, checking links and proof-reading. PSG volunteers are already working on updating the “Current Issues” pages and providing summaries of “NTSAD in the News” but could use your help!

The Helping Hand Cookbook is sizzlin'! Volunteers are needed to contribute recipes, proofread, type, design and sell. If you are not able to participate in any way, please help spread the word for recipe donations and help out with cookbook sales once the book is complete.

Insurance Tips! Everyone affected by a rare disease has struggled with insurance for coverage; did you fight for something and win? Share your insurance tips to help other families in the Members Message Board Insurance Tips forum .

Contribute! NTSAD has many programs that need financial support today!

Membership Contribution Campaign! Thank you to all the PSG Members who made their Membership Contribution for the last fiscal year; it was a record year raising over $13,000! But it is already a new fiscal year and time to once again consider your Membership Contribution. Any gift above $50 is tax-deductible and is used to waive dues for another family who cannot afford dues. Contribute today through PayPal ; simply select PSG Dues from the drop down menu.

Tay-Sachs Carrier Testing Quality Control Program! The Quality Control Program provides the vital service of evaluating laboratories proficiency in Tay-Sachs carrier screening. The program is in urgent need of financial support to continue. Please consider a donor-designated gift to this essential program.
