Isabela Roman
Isabela was born healthy and beautiful. She walked late, but walked. She said a few words, but spoke. She had the appetite of an adult and would rip food off your hands. Today, she is fed through G-tube, does not walk, and unable to communicate. I will never forget the day my doctor confirmed the fear I carried for almost a year. I always knew there was something wrong, a mother always knows, but never did I expect such a rough landing.
I have been fortunate to meet great people and to have such tremendous support. Today we are battling and stronger than ever, we are determined to help find a cure for this horrible disease.
